Needles....
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Boys Of Summer The Ataris

So last weekend me and my dad gave our herd a day at the Netley Marsh Spa, which included deworming, a visit to a dentist and pedicures. I managed to only stab myself once with the needle, and Bucky broke one of his front teeth after deciding he no longer wanted his fighting teeth taking care of. Over all it went fine, only had to cut two alpacas teeth (Ice and Leotie) and everyone had their toes done, I almost managed not to get spit on unlike Kelsy Leotie got her good, Fighting teeth weren't to bad either most of the boys didn't need to have anything done.

On another note Cluso had an  abscess and it burst so now we're cleaning up the mess, that was all my fault and i feel terrible for not noticing it sooner, but it looking alright and if we keep an eye on it it should be alright.

New Girls, and more boys too come
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: Money Honey - State Of Shock

So me and my dad brought home 6 girls from alberta Monday morning (3:30 am)

5 New girls and Rufina, talk about a terrible trip, those girls were so messy! gosh. but they home now, the boys should be coming in a couple weeks, i'm very impressed with Ice Jr, he looks like a 2 year old instead of a 7 year old, if i still have him in the summer i'll be using him on a couple of my girls,  same with Socks... well maybe i have too take a good look at his fleece. So all these animals are for sale and will shortly be on the website, so if you want too get more info on these pacas, please email me.

A New Chapter For Netley Marsh Alpacas
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: Working Class Hero- Green Day

So, I've moved too Winnipeg. it's very different not waking up and seeing the alpacas outside doing their thing, or hearing the farm birds clucking and quaking.

But not all is bad, as far as Netley Marsh Alpacas is concerned anyways.

After Talking and figuring somethings out I've decided we're going too try and focus on Bolivian and Chilean Bloodlines, even though some of my favourite bloodlines are Peruvian. Our two newest Boys are Full Chilean and Bolivian/Chilean so it works out and boy are nice solid coloured boys. it'll be exciting too cross their lines.  I've also decided too try get get more black into our herd, since we only have 1 black girl left and no black boys.

In the next couple of weeks we'll have a group of alpacas from Alberta coming here, I'm boarding and selling this group, some very nice bloodlines are in this group and i do look forward too possibly using the bloodlines in my own herd.

Brie Anna is open, so i'm not trying too breed her anymore, i'll just wait till next spring and then send her too Living Sky Alpacas for a Breeding, I think it's been a bad year for alpaca breedings, Rufina came open as well but now she's holding the pregnancy again, so hopefully she'll just stay pregnant, a few other farms have said they've had females come open as well so maybe it's just one of those years.

I'm hoping for some very nice girls too be born next year, I've got a bunch of first time males expecting next year.

Moca & Leotie

X-Man & Monet

Knoxie & Glory

Pretty Exciting, Cluso is also expecting 1 cria next year from Kaluah gee I wonder what it's going too be, I'll say 20 bucks its a fawn Boy.

I'm also hoping The two girl that were here for breeding caught, at least one of them anyways. Long story about that one. Next year we've got a Pokee Breeding i've been watching him since he was just a little guy so i'm very excited too see what he can do. I've got the perfect girl for him, she's a Hemingway grand daughter... I know I said I wanted too stick with Chilean and Bolivians but, this was arranged last year. I'm also expecting an Ivano Cria next year. I'm just going too be thinking very hard about Pink Little Crias.

Girls Girls Girls.

6 little girls next year sounds good too me...:)

Now Playing: Thanks For The Memories

So The Start of July was a trip too Alberta too take Rufina to Sunnyhill's Alpacas too breed her too Timmy. We saw a male for Story too breed too next year, beautiful black male.  We also dropped Dutchess, Elita and Uli off at Eagle Hill Alpacas and picked up Cluso (he spent the night at Sunnyhill's) and then went up too Debolt too pick up Moca. took a two day break when we got home and then left for Nova Scotia with Morning Star so she can be bred to JP Ivano. what an interesting place, we visited alpaca farms in PEI and Nova Scotia all were very nice places and people with some very nice animals. we left her there so she could be bred and my dad will be returning too Nova Scotia in September too get Her. Once Brie has her cria she'll be going too Neville Lake Alpacas too be bred too Neville Lake's Pokee, i can't wait too see that combination!

Bred Moca too Leotie since Kaluah was not interested in him, she was spitting at him, One breeding and She caught and that was his first time!! Cluso bred Kaluah and same thing one breeding. So proud of my boys!!!

Now Playing: All That I Got- The Used

So Yesterday Kaluah gave us a baby... guess what it was, now i know what your thinking No Way it was another fawn boy. but guess what..... it was and so We Named him Netley's Riverboat Gambler, he's a nice shade of fawn and very curious. small as usual.... for such a big girl Kaluah gives us little babies. anyways today My mom said keep an eye on Leotie since she has her tail up, i was like ok i might as well take a look, and there was a nose sticking out. so i sat down on the grass and prepared too watch another beautiful baby come into this world... i waited and wait the head was out but then she stopped pushing... not good, so i got up and went and held the head so it would go back in and tried to convince her too push. nope something was very wrong 1/2 an hour and i called the vet. Some may think i didn't wait long enough but i went with my gut instinct and called the vet too come out. after that i called my mom too come back home since i didn't want too be alone, she brought her buddy Connie and Connie's 4 year old Raevin. in the end the vet had to go in and pull the legs out since they weren't in the right position and helped deliever a beautiful 15 lbs 14 Oz baby girl. i asked Raevin what we should name it since she was supervising the whole proceedure. her suggestion was Rainbow. so now we have Netley's Don't Rayne On Me Beau.  scary but rewarding day. Oh Yes, Mom and Babe are doing just fine now

Now Playing: Let Them Eat War- Bad Religion

So this is the very first Blog post for Netley Marsh Alpacas. I kind of snagged the idea from Cooks Creek Alpacas, and All American Alpacas with their blogs. I'm hoping to update this blog fairly regularly... or at least when there is news here at the farm.

In a week or so we shall be welcoming our newest addition too our Herdsire Row. RR&R Inspector Cluso 76K, a beautiful fawn Macho from Eagle Hill Alpacas, I've added his picture too our Herdsire page and will also be adding it too our Alpaca Nation page. He's not here yet but hopefully within the next few weeks he will arrive here.

Well the text on this picture isn't very good but, there are examples of his cria and a body picture of himCool
